Eleven-year-old Jack Cooper picks up odd jobs around his seaside hometown in order to earn pocket money. Despite all his hard work and good deeds, however, he can't seem to get ahead. When a raging storm delivers a rare treasure into his fishing net, he must choose between finding its rightful owner or selling it for a tempting offer—and time is running out. He could use the cash for so many things, but a nagging feeling about its mysterious origin keeps getting in the way.
