This coffee table book show the achievement of the IIUM debaters in local and international debate competition. The legacy of IIUM debaters indicate the success story of IIUM debaters.

This book analyses the International Islamic University Malaysia described as the “Garden of Knowledge and Virtue” and its multi-dimensional features. The University provides excellent educational facilities for its students and is internationally recognised for providing high-quality learning environments. It contains chapters, contributed by the first five rectors themselves, on the contributions they made during the duration they occupied the office. It also contains a chapter by the current rector that focuses on the challenges the University is likely to face and alerts the University community to face these challenges and lead the way. The book also contains chapters contributed by the deputy rectors and directors of the University explaining achievements in various areas that make IIUM a leading international centre of educational excellence. Finally, the book contains chapters written by academic administrator heading the faculties and departments providing a brief overview of the historical development of the institution, its current set-up and the contributions it makes towards achieving the University's mission of Islamisation, Integration, Internationalisation and Comprehensive Excellence. Taken as a whole, the book provides readers with a deeper understanding of the core concerns of IIUM from its inception to its current position.

Biology 1 Workbook is specially written for foundation students taking Biology 1 at the Centre for Foundation Studies, IIUM. The purpose of this workbook is to provide students with exercise to help them understand the topic in Biology 1.

“Ashes of Hiroshima” merupakan terjemahan karya Othman Puteh yang bertajuk “Debu Hiroshima” daripada Bahasa Melayu ke Bahasa Inggeris, dilancarkan oleh IIUM Press pada 6 Ogos 2020, 75 tahun setelah meletusnya bom atom di Hiroshima.Naskah ini menyingkap kisah seorang pemuda bernama Razak, bermula dengan kehidupannya di Tanah Melayu sebelum bertolak ke bumi Matahari Terbit demi melanjutkan pelajaran, tragedi pengeboman di Hiroshima, dan kepulangannya ke Tanah Melayu.

Internal Medicine is a major posting for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery undergraduate program of International Islamic University Malaysia MBBS, IIUM. To familiarize students with the real examination setting, in each and differential diagnose, relevant investigations, final diagnosis, follow by the principles of management.

The International Islamic University Malaysia has, since 2018, redoubled its struggle to restore its wisdom, strengths, and dignity and promote comprehensive excellence. Hence, the University adopted the United Nations’ sustainable development agenda as a complement to the University’s vision and mission of Islamisation, Integration, Internationalisation and Comprehensive Excellence. The book explains the ways in which the SDGs will provide a new strategy to apply the concept of Islamisation, which has long been the foundation of the IIUM. Consequently, the university’s operations and facilities have been adjusted so that they become mediums in applying and showcasing a lifestyle that is sustainable. Everything in the university i.e. the curricular and extra-curricular courses, the research activities, and everyday operations in administrative offices and other places are geared towards sustainable development in line with the maqāṣid al-sharῑ‘ah. Elements of sustainability are integrated in every aspect of the university’s administration and, indeed, in teaching, research and community engagement. Consequently, the IIUM has adopted “Humanising Higher Education through maqāṣid al-sharῑ‘ah and SDGs” as its official strategic mission.

Creative Thinking: An Islamic Perspective was an outcome of a research requested by Tan Sri Prof. Dr. Mohammad Kamal Hassan former Rector IIUM in 2003. It was granted by RMC, IIUM and published by IIUM Press in 2004. The textbook’s second edition was published by IIUM Press in 2005 with eight reprints. The most recent edition was in 2014.In 2012, KIRKHS requested that the textbook should be improved based on the reviewers’ comments. Since the focus of the book was on creativity, it was vital to discard the last four chapters on critical thinking and maintain and improve the first four chapters. Some important issues discussed in the first book needed to be expanded, namely thinking terminologies and barriers to thinking from a Quranic perspective. Additional topics related to the topic also needed to be explored. Such topics included revitalising Muslim creativity, a prophetic model of thinking, the role of Muslim leaders in fostering creativity and a modern Muslim scholar’s contribution to the area of creativity. This brings the new textbook into ten chapters.

This publication chronicles individual experiences of some of the many successful Bosnian IIUM alumni whose engagement in social, economic, and political existence of Bosnia and Herzegovina has irrevocably demonstrates the essence and core values needed to shape the country anew. When it comes to envisioning the best needed transformational effects and impacts of education in transforming a given country or a society, the long-term vision and foresight of the Malaysian political leadership then is thus correctly justified when the decision to facilitate the enrolments of our Bosnian brothers and sisters was made. This move has simultaneously forged deep and lasting constructive ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Malaysia.
