YOUR TOOLBOX is for people of any age, junior to senior, who want to write a letter to a parent that starts with 'I hate you' and ends with 'XO, hugs and kisses.' It is normal to want to love a parent, but parental abuse, neglect or trauma can alter a child's development and future connections and bonds. Although a young person on the receiving end has done nothing to prompt their parent's wrongdoings, they may move into adulthood never fully understanding or resolving the root of their lifelong challenges and struggles. The hope is that YOUR TOOLBOX will begin the unwinding process for anyone who finds themselves in this situation regardless of age or stage of life.
