Synopsis

Thanks for the steely commitment, arduous work, and never-ending determination by the collaborative teams throughout the making of this coffee table book, “Landscapes of Sintok”. This book showcases the strikingly beautiful views and landscapes, as well as the flora and fauna, which can be discovered in and around Sintok. It provides a vivid illustration of life in a green forest—through relevant photography of the breath-taking views of the area—thus promoting these magnificent landscapes to the tourists and nature enthusiasts in the neighbouring states and from all over the world. This volume presents an enthusiastic celebration of the complex and varied natural ecosystems, side-by-side the sophisticated structure of UUM and its organic relevance, which has been seamlessly integrated with the surrounding environment. Although these represent just a partial sample of the dynamic interaction with nature, this volume is destined to take on a key role in motivating and educating the next generation to treasure and protect this natural gem. Hence, I would wish to see more educational and recreational ventures organised in support of this. It must be a “responsible green” that is put into practice to ensure the future of our green society. Once again, this outstanding project makes it possible for us to experience and enjoy the artistic and photographic endeavour by the production team. These captured moments convey profound messages of our time and narrate the stories of the natural beauty and all of creation that we dwell in. They carry the interactions of the rich assemblage of flora and fauna as well as landscapes that exist in Sintok. This effort should continue to inspire all of us into action with greater resolve to appreciate and build a more honest path of being. I do hope not only locals will foster the passion of natural appreciation, but rather it would attract more visitors from all over the globe, who are bound to the value of nature, to witnes for themselves the splendid landscapes of Sintok before their very eyes.
