This book has five chapters that discuss renewable energy consumption pattern in Malaysia. In chapter 1, this chapter addresses the topic of consumer behaviour with regard to energy consumption and their inclination to adopt renewable energy sources in their daily lives. It is important to familiarize consumers with the new technology of renewable energy to ensure their understanding of its implementation. Chapter 2 focuses on renewable energy development in Malaysia. Chapter 3 discussed consumer consumption pattern on renewable energy including conceptual definition, linkages, and theoretical framework for renewable energy research. Chapter 4 discussed in theoretical and practical implication finding of this book. The result and finding show viewer consumers consumption pattern on concern, knowledge, belief, acceptance, and attitude, all have an impact on their willingness to pay more toward renewable energy. Lastly, in chapter 5 discuss the potential and future perspective of this renewable energy book toward energy efficiency statistic, methods of monitoring energy resources in Malaysia, and the outlook for national energy demand. Conclusion also been discussed to wrap out this book chapter to enhance consumers’ knowledge and understanding of the relationship associated with public awareness, willingness, and adaption towards renewable energy developments in Malaysia. The study anticipates identifying certain potential factors that could influence the perception and attitude of the public towards paying more for renewable energy.
