As summer vacation in 1977 begins, eight year-old Walter is headed to the small town of Lake Hickory Ridge in North Carolina to spend the summer with his Grandma Della and Grandpa Curtis. With his friends off on their own adventures, Walter is excited about spending time with his grandparents at the lake.
