A brief history of Jews in Central Germany between 1871 (founding of German Empire) and 1990 (German Reunification) – nevertheless full of interesting details about famous persons, customs and living under a non-jewish majority. The book shows, which rich Jewish life existed in this part of Germany – threatened by growing anti-Semitism and exterminated by Shoah.
