As he matures, Will Crockett finds himself at odds with his school administration, other institutions of the town, and the town itself, which is all fueled by the controlling entity, the local manufacturing plant. He needs to get out, but his best option for college is still two years away. So, he tries the next best thing, but it's dangerous to be a small voice against the deafening roar of the plant. Can Will survive those two years until he can finally leave for college, or will his life be trashed by a principal out to get him?
