A useful agent needs a role, an objective, rules, access to appropriate knowledge and tools, and a defined output. Automation then adds the trigger: when should that worker begin the job? Conditions add judgement: when should the system continue, stop or escalate? Human approval adds governance: which actions should remain under human control?
