This guidebook is published for undergraduate students at the OUM. It is an additional learning resource to enhance their academic skills, especially reading and writing. As a tutor employed by the university, the author has many years of experience in connecting with students in classroom environments as well as online tutorials. These have inspired him to embark on this book project. He hopes that with the completion of this guidebook, students are encouraged to reach out to the tutor to intellectually discuss their needs for writing their assignments even when it is offline. Two notes regarding this guidebook are that (1) the words in Italic are keywords that are especially good to know; and (2) the glossary in Part 4 lists 25 keywords in this guidebook that are considered “must know.”
