"Beneath the Dune” , a novel by Walter Ramsay, follows life-long Floridian and newspaper sports journalist Tucker Lee Anderson as he seeks to find a murderer and is forced to face surprising truths along the way. Tucker is a laid-back Southerner and divorced dad, whose days of excitement seem to be mostly behind him until he is assigned to cover the story of a child’s skeleton discovered buried in the sand. As Tucker attempts to follow the twisting trails of evidence to discover the murder, he finds himself confronting his own past, discovering truths about his own lineage and the upper crust of his coastal community that make certain parties uncomfortable. Tucker will need to keep his wits about him as he draws nearer to a surprising conclusion.
