Pengurusan Covid-19 Di UTHM

Buku ini dapat memberikan informasi tentang Projek Rakan Komuniti UTHM yang merupakan Projek Rintis Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) yang akan dilaksanakan oleh Pusat Kokurikulum UTHM kelak. Tempat yang dipilih untuk pelaksanaan Projek Rakan Komuniti ini adalah di Taman Cendana, Pasir Gudang, Johor. Projek ini bukan sahaja dapat melahirkan pelajar yang berkepimpinan tinggi malah dapat menerapkan nilai-nilai murni dan juga kemahiran insaniah ke dalam setiap diri pelajar yang bersama-sama dalam menguruskan projek ini.

Antologi Pantun adalah buku yang menghimpunkan koleksi pantun yang diperoleh daripada teks ucapan majlis-majlis di  Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). Buku ini juga turut memuatkan beberapa pantun hasil nukilan kakitangan UTHM. Pantun pertama, iaitu nukilan Ruzairi Rahim adalah pantun yang pernah diucapkan oleh Yang Berbahagia Naib Canselor dalam majlis-majlis yang pernah diadakan. Pantun kedua, iaitu nukilan Lokman Hakim Hj Ismail adalah pantun yang pernah diucapkan oleh Yang Berbahagia Timbalan Naib Canselor Hal Ehwal Pelajar dalam majlis-majlis yang pernah diadakan di UTHM. Pantun ketiga, nukilan Rosdi Abdullah pula merupakan pantun-pantun yang dihasilkan oleh beliau dalam majlis-majlis yang pernah diadakan di Pusat Kebudayaan UTHM. Pantun keempat pula, nukilan Rozana Mohd Jalil merupakan pantun-pantun yang dihasilkan beliau sebagai pengacara dalam majlis-majlis yang pernah diadakan di UTHM. Pantun seterusnya merupakan nukilan daripada Pusat Pengajian Bahasa dan Pusat Pengurusan Penyelidikan. Buku Antologi Pantun ini diakhiri dengan koleksi pantun hasil nukilan daripada warga Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia yang turut memberi sumbangan dalam penghasilan buku ini.

Dengan terhasilnya penerbitan buku ini, UTHM telah berjaya menerbitkan buku yang menjadi rujukan dan koleksi ramai pihak sama ada staf, pelajar mahupun penyelidik, pengkaji akademik, sejarawan dalam dan luar UTHM yang ingin mengetahui lebih mendalam berkaitan Tun Hussein Onn dan sumbangan yang diberikan oleh beliau kepada seluruh rakyat Malaysia. Sememangnya menjadi harapan agar buku ini akan menjadi bahan rujukan utama kepada pengkaji akademik mahupun sejarawan bagi bahan berkaitan Tun Hussein Onn. lni kerana sumber dan rujukan yang diperoleh diambil terus daripada penduduk setempat yang merasai sendiri perkembangan dan pembangunan yang dibawa oleh Tun Hussein Onn kepada rakyat. Semoga penerbitan buku ini menjadi khazanah dan harta yang amat berharga dan bermanfaat pada masa depan dan buat rakyat Malaysia seterusnya.

‘Senibina Universiti Melalui Lakaran’ ini merupakan dokumentasi penulis terhadap seni bina bangunan di universiti awam tempatan, khususnya Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). Melalui pemerhatian dan pengalaman melawati satu-satu bangunan, informasi seperti reka bentuk, motif dan keberkesanannya terhadap pencahayaan dan pengudaraan semulajadi direkod dalam medium lukisan dan lakaran. Dengan kemajuan teknologi, perisian komputer kerap digunakan, malah melebihi kapasiti had yang dibenarkan. Perisian komputer seharusnya membantu memudahkan urusan, bukan menggantikan kemahiran melukis semulajadi secara total. Lukisan tangan seharusnya menjadi medium komunikasi yang cepat, mudah dan berkesan, terutama dalam fasa eksplorasi idea.

Buku ini menghimpunkan hasil-hasil karya daripada Peraduan Penulisan Esei, Sajak dan Pantun anjuran Penerbit Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) yang julung kali diadakan. Peraduan itu diadakan sempena Hari Buku Sedunia dan Hakcipta Sedunia. United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) yang disambut pada 23 APril setiap tahun bermula pada tahun 1995. Buku ini menghimpunkan karya-karya esei, sajak dan pantun terbaik yang bertemakan 'Warisan Budaya, Sosio Ekonomi dan Sejarah Tempatan' oleh pelajar-pelajar sekolah menengah sekitar Batu Pahat. Semoga dengan penerbitan buku ini akan menggalakkan aktiviti penulisan di samping mencungkil bakat-bakat baru dalam kalangan generasi muda khususnya pelajar-pelajar sekolah.

Buku Darjat tidak Datang Bergolek: Langit Mana Patut di Junjung, Isu-isu Kontemporari, Hubungan Etnik dan Kenegaraan adalah hasil karya para pensyarah panel dalam bidang Sains Sosial, Pusat Pengajian Kemanusiaan dan Komunikasi (PPKK), Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM). Ia ditulis sesuai dengan kandungan mata pelajaran yang ditawarkan oleh kebanyakan institusi pengajian tinggi di Malaysia sama ada institut pengajian tinggi awam (IPTA) mahupun institut pengajian tinggi swasta (IPTS). This is a collection of personal stories by 34 students from the class of students of Site Investigation (Semester 1 Session 2011/22), Faculty of Engineering Technology, UTHM. Panic Academic in COVID-19 Pandemic. These are stories of love, fear, courage, and resilience as told by the students living through the COVID-19 pandemic era. Let’s hear them out: On how they turned the rather ‘panicky’ situation into a fruitful and positive one, emerging stronger and more prepared for the fast-changing future, if not the present.

As an initiative by Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) in collaboration with Jawatankuasa Pengarah Antarabangsa (JKPA), this is a compilation of compelling stories by the universities on the institutional ups and downs, responses and countermeasures, resilience and transition to the post-pandemic world. Recording the invaluable experiences, views and thoughts coming out of the 2020-21 pandemic lockdown era for future reference, it is hoped that the book would shed light where darkness looms over internationalization efforts by institutions of higher education in critical times of constraints and challenges, like the global COVID-19 pandemic.

Naskhah Antologi Skrip Teater: Juara merupakan buku yang menghimpunkan empat naskhah skrip teater yang pernah menjuarai pertandingan teater di peringkat negeri dan kebangsaan oleh Kumpulan Teater Pusat Kebudayaan Universiti, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) di bawah arahan Eddy Rusdi Abdullah, iaitu penulis skrip keempat-empat teater tersebut. Skrip pertama, iaitu 3 Leftenan Yang Tidak Didendang adalah skrip teater pendek yang mengisahkan tentang perjuangan tiga orang tentera yang telah berjuang mempertahankan negara bersama Leftenan Adnan. Skrip kedua, iaitu Bukit Kepong Antara Darah Dan Sejarah adalah skrip teater pendek yang mengisahkan tentang perjuangan anggota polis di Balai Polis Bukit Kepong yang menentang komunis. Skrip yang ketiga, Janin (Bisikan Qarin) pula mengisahkan tentang perlakuan zina adaptasi daripada surah Al-Israq dan skrip keempat pula, Ningrat yang mengisahkan tentang Abdul Rahman Andak yang merupakan penasihat kepada Sultan dan seorang pejuang yang memartabatkan bahasa Melayu serta mempunyai semangat patriotik yang tinggi dalam memelihara kedaulatan negeri Johor.

At last, I manage to complete writing this book. Thanks to God for giving me, patience and inspiration. From my observation, many students and researchers still do not understand statistical analysis completely and this has been identified as a major problem in doing research or project. The main objective of this book is to provide step by step guidance in statistical analysis.  It starts from explanation on type of statistical analysis, steps, results, interpretation and reporting. I believe that this book will improve statistical analysis understanding amongst students and researchers. This book contains thirteen chapters. In each chapter, examples of the statistical analysis are provided for better understanding using SPSS version 19. Furthermore, the interpretations of statistical result are explained in details for each of the examples. Hopefully this book will be useful to student for improving their understanding in statistical analysis. At last, thanks to UTHM for giving me the opportunity to publish this book.

Karya suntingan ini telah memilih untuk memberi perhatian terhadap isu kualiti hidup yang melibatkan masyarakat di bandar dan persekitaran. Buku ini menumpukan perhatian terhadap isu-isu kualiti hidup yang mencakupi Keselesaan penduduk ke tempat bekerja yang mempengaruhi kualiti hidup masyarakat di bandar; Analisis pencemaran udara (PM 10) di sekitar laluan tapak pembinaan UTHM: kesan ke atas persekitaran dan kualiti hidup penduduk; Pengangkutan di bandar impak terhadap alam sekitar dan kualiti hidup masyarakat di bandar: satu perspektif umum; Keselesaan di jalan raya mempengaruhi kualiti hidup masyarakat di bandar; Pendidikan alam sekitar ke arah meningkatkan kualiti hidup masyarakat Malaysia: isu dan cabaran dan Pembangunan modal insan ke arah meningkatkan kualiti hidup masyarakat. Isu-isu kualiti hidup yang mencakupi aspek keselesaan di jalan raya, keselesaan ke tempat bekerja, pendidikan dan modal insan telah dibahas, dihuraikan dan terfokus bertujuan bukan sahaja sebagai perkongsian ilmu, tetapi yang paling utama adalah sebagai mengisi percambahan ilmu, dalam bidang pengurusan persekitaran.

Penulisan buku ini adalah satu usaha kecil untuk menghargai jasa Allahyarham Tun Dr. Ismail bin Dato’ Abdul Rahman dalam sejarah tanah air kita. Antaranya, kejayaan memulihkan keamanan selepas Peristiwa 13 Mei adalah sesuatu yang mengagumkan semua pihak. Oleh itu, penulisan buku ini menggunakan pendekatan secara tema, gambar termasuk petikan akhbar yang mudah dan santai dalam menelusuri sumbangan tokoh ini.Ia menggunakan pendekatan ini kerana kekangan bahan dan masa berkaitan dengan tokoh ini. Usaha-usaha sebegini adalah permulaan ke arah mengenali dengan lebih dekat perwatakan beliau. Antaranya tegas. jujur dan berani menghadapi cabaran dalam memikul tanggungjawab. Oleh itu penghasilan buku yang bertajuk “Tun Dr. Ismail: Merintis Kepemimpinan Berintegriti” akan menjelaskan nilai-nilai kepemimpinan negarawan ini untuk diteladani. Kolej Kediaman Tun Dr. Ismail, dikenali dengan nama ringkasnya TDI - Telus, Dinamik dan Integriti. Ini adalah nilai-nilai teras yang selari dengan matlamat Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM) untuk melahir dan membentuk pemimpin masa depan. This is a collection of personal stories by 54 students from the class of Soil Mechanics & Foundations (Semester 2 Session 2021/22), Faculty of Engineering Technology, UTHM. Coming back to the university after the COVID19 global lockdown, Zero to Hero takes us on a semester-long journey of the students in learning the Course, individually told in a double section of Strategy and Self Reflection. Strategies were lain and plans were organised to learn the Course effectively in their uniquely personalised approaches (STRATEGY), which were put through self-review at the end of the semester to gauge the outcomes (SELF REFLECTION). Assessment and grades aside, the most significant outcome is but the students' rise above fears and doubts at the beginning of the semester, grappling with the learning process with utmost grit and determination, coming out of it at the end, triumphant with renewed confidence and self-awareness.

Structural Equation Modeling or SEM is a second-generation statistical analysis technique for analyzing the inter-relationships among multiple variables in a model. SEM is an extension of the general linear model (GLM) that enables a researcher to test a set of regression equations simultaneously, SEM software can examine complex relationships and models, such as confirmatory factor analysis and second-order latent variables which improves the weaknesses of ordinary least square (OLS) method. There are two ways to proceed with the structural equation modelling (SEM technique) Covariance-based SEM and PLS-SEM. The selection of the method is based on the normality of data and the type of research. PLS SEM method is used for non-normal data and exploratory research. This book provides researchers with the application of PLS SEM through empirical data focusing on quality management. Empirical data will provide a better understanding of SEM application. I believe that this book will be able to help who are in the theories of applying this technique in their research. Hopefully. this book will provide a useful reference for a better understanding of SEM which can lead to implementing successful research for students and researchers.
